I came across a post on PRDaily that listed 20 quotes to inspire PR professionals. Brad Phillips mentions in his intro that he likes to “jot down every good media-training quote I hear. I occasionally get to use one of the witty quotes in a speech or training session.”
It is important to remember to do this. Jotting things down that we hear that are inspiring and beneficial can help us a long way in the future. And nowadays, with all the smart phones and technology, we can jot things down with the use of our two thumbs and store them on our phones to always have. I’ll list a few of the ones I particularly liked.
“The questions don’t do the damage. Only the answers do.” —Sam Donaldson
“Short words are the best, and old words, when short, are the best of all.” —Winston Churchill
“It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and only a few seconds to destroy one.” —Unknown
“Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” —Theodore Roosevelt
“What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson
I think these all speak a lot, especially on how to speak and how your actions can really define you. The rest of the quotes can be found here.
