For our final topic of the week, we were told to choose our favorite post that we read professionally and from our peers.
For my professional one, it was a hard chose, although whenever bacon is involved, I stick with my stomach and choose bacon. This post, 5 Similarities Between Pinterest and Bacon, I found to be hilarious and entertaining, as well as eye opening. I never thought to compare something so simple and amazing as bacon, to Pinterest. As I stated in my comment on the post, “Now, I love bacon as much as the next person. My friend made me an extra crunchy peanut butter, nutella, and bacon sandwich today and it was glorious. I never thought of comparing Pinterest to bacon though. I’ve stayed clear of Pinterest, as I’m just fine with my Tumblr, and I know a lot of girls who say they have a Pinterest and it seems more of a girly thing to do from what I’ve been told, but I found this post very interesting and insightful.”
The bullet points that the author gave were very amusing for me to read. Seeing leads to action. Too much can fatten your ass. Ease of integration. Early hype. and ROI. I love when blog writers incorporate humor into their writings, and the author for this post did just that, and I loved it.
I’d have to say my favorite peer blog that I read was Jordyn’s blog on Viral Videos. I don’t love all viral videos, but the ones that I do, I absolutely adore, and the two that Jordyn posted in her post are two of my favorites, especially the second one. I love quoting it with my friends and I love the little girl’s reaction to what her mother says.
